In the stars i saw a way lying in the northern sky
When i cry leafs fly away, day's turning to the night
The essence of an accurst rain coming down to earth
The spell of evil hex is done no reason to berirth.

I awaken in the deepest scars of a border fjords
I look around in this mountain ground high above the clouds
In the misty wind i hear her voice screaming her triumph
But in my hand i hold an axe, iron power on the North.

To the Odin i raise my hands
There is no place to the graveyard worms
Give me wisdom to stay unbroken
Give me Power of the North.

I've put all the power in dividing blow
To slay the child of the night
Vegvisir show me the way
To arise like the Vallhalla's light.

Feel the northern magic
All yor deeds are vain

To banish the conjured force

Thor, the mighty God i know you hear my silent cry

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
